Pastor Abedini, an American citizen, has been imprisoned for more than a year because he is a Christian. He entered Iran with Iranian permission to establish an orphanage. He has two young children of his own in the US who are missing him. John Kerry just bestowed US humanitarian funds to Iran and eased sanctions in an attempt to keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Why would we confer benefits on Iran without winning the freedom of our innocent citizen?
