Force large stores to give unsold/spoiling food to poor like in France

Tons of perfectly good food is wasted every year by supermarkets and other large stores that sell food. Those stores should be forced to give that unsold spoilng food to those who would rarely get it through charities instead of storing it in warehouses or throwing it away like the law that France just passed. This food of course hasn't yet spoiled
