Pete Rose, having admitted his guilt of betting on baseball, should be reinstated by the Commissioner of Major League Baseball. However, Commisioner Selig has chosen not to do this. While Mr. Rose was guilty of betting on the sport, the Commisioner needs to change his opinion and allow Mr. Rose back into the sport.
I ask President Obama to explore all options in having Commisioner Selig reinstate Mr. Rose. These can range from a "beer summit" to legal action. Simply put, as long as the cheaters of the Steroid Era are allowed to be in the Hall of Fame, then so should Mr. Rose.
