force medi-cal to reverse tubal ligation if the mother was under the age of 25, regardless of medi-cal status now.

Created by J.J. on December 29, 2012

A woman under the age of 25 should not be surgically sterilized, if the mother was under 25 when she had a tubal ligation and wants it reversed Medi-cal should pay to have it reversed. This should be done reguardless of the status of Medi-cal now. If the mother wants to remain sterilized then that is her option. At the age of 25 a young woman may be able to make the decision. Several women are convinced by their doctors while under the age of 25 that they must do this. Medi-cal fully supports this.
