force members of the congress to remove themselves from any vote involving a company they are financially involved with.

It's a known fact that many members of the government take money from, or hold stock in companies. it is reasonable and logical for those people to exemt themselves from any votes that involve passing legislation effecting those companies as their vote will be swayed to benefit not the people who they have been chosen to represent, but themselves.
