Recent public comments by members of Metallica display an unwillingness to even perform in the United States, and the band has an abundance of lyrics in their catalog that show little respect for the military. Yet they have chosen to appear on the National Mall on Veterans' Day at an event to honor our men and women in uniform for their service. We would like them to clarify their views on their country and its military on live television, in front of the national audience they seem to desire. The Concert for Valor is scheduled for 7-10 pm Eastern on November 11 2014, and will be broadcast live on HBO (with special arrangements to make this program viewable by non-subscribers).
