The Redskins' name is offensive to the Native Americans who reside in not only the U.S.A. but in Canada and Mexico, and many Native American groups have openly supported a name change, but are not being heard by Dan Snyder and the NFL. A change needs to occur, and we can do our part to support racial equality.
Donald Sterling (owner of the L.A. Lakers) has been criticized by many parties for making racist remarks, but when the name of our country's capitol city football team is blatantly racist as well, we let it sit for decades.
