Force the National Weather Service to replace Adobe Flash

Created by T.B. on December 29, 2015

The Adobe Flash platform is the top poster child of an insecure program that is completely incapable of being patched - perhaps intentionally so. People's very lives can depend on tracking hazardous weather (read: TORNADOES) in real time, but they should not be forced into using a proprietary, closed-source, endlessly vulnerable platform such as Flash (NOT TO MENTION THE PURCHASE / MAINTENANCE COSTS TO TAXPAYERS) that exposes their computers and personal information to hackers the world over. It is long past the time to replace the Flash virus with the open-source HTML5 stack.
