Force the NFL and broadcasters to reduce the number of commercial breaks they take during televised games.

Created by B.R. on January 20, 2013

I am tired of watching three hours of commercials mixed in with one hour of NFL football. Do they really need to take a commercial break with 30 seconds left in a half when a team takes a timeout? How often do we need to see Papa John and Peyton Manning pushing free pizza? Kickoffs were pushed up to the 35-yard line. I can't tell if this was done out of concern for the players' safety or to allow for more TV timeouts and commercial breaks.

It's no wonder the NFL promotes the Play 60 campaign. It's out of the guilt they feel when they have two minutes of gameplay followed by three minutes of commercials shoving beer and lousy pizza chains down our throats.

Let us watch football. We'll suffer through "analysts" like Tony Siragusa and Tim Ryan, but keep the game going!
