Although tragic the incident in Connecticut could have been avoided by having security at the school. The ban on assault rifles from 1994 to 2004 did not stop the columbine shooting in April 1999. 5 years after the bill was released this nation faced the worst public school shooting in history. The new gun law is no different and will not produce better results than it's predecessor. The Obama Administration needs to implement something that would prevent a situation from happening not apply a band aid.
