FORCE THE OCC AND THE FEDERAL RESERVE TO RELEASE ALL INFORMATION THEY HAVE REGARDING WRONGFUL FORECLOSURES TO HOMEOWNERS

Created by S.M. on April 27, 2013

Under questioning from Senator Elizabeth Warren, Daniel Stipano of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and Richard Ashton of The Federal Reserve Bank gave highly evasive answers when asked if they would release information about financial institution wrongdoing in cases of wrongful foreclosures. This has effected well over 4 million Americans. The settlement reached by the government allows for paltry compensation to homeowners who were wrongfully foreclosed, which may force them to seek redress in court for their damages. In most cases, they will be unable to successfully do so without the information contained in the files held by the OCC and Federal Reserve Bank. Given the vast extent of this problem, it is right and proper for families to have this information.
