Force oil companies to begin alternative fuel production. We can't rely on oil, forever, and neither can they.

Oil is the fuel of the past. There are many alternative fuels that will work in place of oil-based fuels. Oil companies believe they do not have to catch up with the times and most only barely follow the regulations set forth by our laws. As a citizen in our democracy, I see no reason why we should have to pay an oil company just so we can take our children to school, drive to work and back, or to take a hot shower or keep ourselves entertained while we're at home. Oil companies get money from the electricity providers and they get money every time we fill our gas tank up. They control the world economy and there is more that can be done about it than you think. Technology has advanced to the point where alternative fuels, electric vehicles, and clean energy can be replacements for oil.
