The Wilpon family has said their financial woes are in the past after the Madoff scheme, but how can New York Mets fans believe this when they again have put another losing team on the field for the 2014 season. Their insistence on not spending money and negligence when it comes to free agency and trades is doing the New York Mets fans injustice. These fans who hand THEIR HEARD EARNED money to the Wilpon's are receiving nothing in return but inflated parking prices and a $9 dollar hot dog.
With the value of the New York Mets at $800 million(9/30), and with a pathetic payroll of only $82 million(23/30), if change isn't made I believe the Wilpon family should be forced to sell the team for scamming and not giving the New York Mets fans what they deserve.
