Any politician who wishes to limit gun ownership rights and indeed any person who wishes to have a political opinion on the subject should first undergo an in depth education on the safe handling practices of a firearm. This should include but not be limited to:
1. Safe handling.
2. Unloading/re-loading.
3. Safe Storage.
4. Basic knowledge on how a firearm works.
5. Safe muzzle direction.
6. Actually shoot a firearm at some point.
