Representative Michael G. Grimm of Staten Island made unusually vitriolic threats against a reporter inside the United States Capitol building on Tuesday night, just moments after the State of the Union speech because he dared to ask him about his campaign finance corruption.
Thinking the segment was over he got in the reporters face and said “Let me be clear to you,” in a low voice, before using a profanity and warning that he would hurl Mr. Scotto from the balcony. There is some exchange then he can be heard saying “No, no, you’re not man enough, you’re not man enough,” he said. “I’ll break you in half. Like a boy.”
We can not have common thugs in office, and can not allow our politicians to threaten the lives of reporters for doing their jobs.
