force schools to honor the Supreme Court ruling saying that students do not have to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Created by K.M. on September 01, 2012

The Supreme Court has increasingly began limiting the power of schools to force students to say the Pledge of Allegiance saying "compulsory unification of opinion" violates the First Amendment. So far the Supreme Court has ruled that while schools may be compelled to say the Pledge of Allegiance, students cannot be made to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance, nor be made to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Nonetheless, many schools are deliberately violating this Supreme Court order. We petition the Obama Administration to force schools to abide by the Supreme Court rulings.
