New York Undercover was a ground-breaking police show which aired from 1994–1998. The cast was racially and socially diverse. The issues the police officers tackled were distinctly urban, hard-nosed and laced with enough hip-hop bravado that it can't be considered anything but the 'godfather' to other great shows like Oz and The Wire.
The show was even a catalyst for releasing two groundbreaking soundtracks, New York Undercover Soundtrack and New York Undercover: A Night at Natalie's
Universal TV has released other shows on DVD & Blu-Ray and it is simply an injustice to all things hip-hop related that this classic show has not been released yet for public consumption.
Please help the newer fans of hip-hop understand how great things USED to be.
