if they don't continue their stories within one year after appearance of their last book, they have to move to a cabin in the woods without internet and there they have to finish their story.
With this law it won't be possible anymore to show us Daenerys and her awesome dragon as they return to the Dothraki and then not continue the story and make us wait five years for the continuation.
