Foreign aid to Israel should be reduced, not increased.

Created by K.H. on April 29, 2016

Israel receives half of all US foreign military aid - over $3 billion annually - and is by far the largest recipient of US foreign aid. This comes despite the fact that Israel is a relatively wealthy nation.

But currently an even larger military aid package is being lobbied for. This new package would transfer an estimated $40-45 billion in military aid from the US to Israel over the next 10 years.

Such a large transfer of military arms to Israel is both unnecessary and in poor judgement. The United States should be directing its resources towards building a lasting peace based on good faith between Israel and her neighbors, not towards a buildup for ever more war. Military aid to Israel should be decreased.
