As a nation, we spend more money than we have and thus have accumulated too much debt. Even so, all of the needs of our own citizens are not currently being met, People are struggling with costs for medical, nursing facilities, day care, education, food, housing and many more. Yet we continue giving our scares financial resources to foreign countries when those dollars could be helping our own people.
I propose that we stop going further into debt by giving aid to foreign countries. Any future foreign aid can only be paid from surpluses, after our own needs are met.
