Foreign car importation and regulation laws

Created by D.B. on November 05, 2012

The laws stating the year and regulations on a car imported from another country are too strict for American consumers who so desire a special/unique vehicles that are restricted for importation under the current policy(s). While America has a restriction that only allows cars that are 25 years or older into America and even then they must undergo changes, our northern neighbors allow cars that are 15 years or older to be imported and sold from other countries. Also the amount of tax dollars that are wasted, yes wasted, in the seizure and destruction of any vehicles that do not comply with the current standards is unnecessary when the amount you would gain by simply adding an additional import tax to either the individual or dealership would be beneficial to our country's money gain
