Forever energy

Created by K.O. on January 12, 2013

Today nuclear energy is a dangerous game, though it produces much more energy than any other energy production system. The Molten Salt reactor, invented by Alvin Weinburg, utilizes clean, safe nuclear fusion (powered by Thorium, found in most rocks) to create more energy then ever possible. The government began research in the 1960's, but when President Nixon was elected, Weinburg was fired and the Molten Salt reactor abandoned. This is the same reaction that happens on the sun, and while Lakewater reactors (the regular form used in most nuclear power plants) must be kept from having their reactions get out of control, the Molten Salt reactor is spent trying to keep the reaction going. This is the future of energy, and should the USA not act on it, another country will.
