For too long, the free peoples of Middle Earth have lived outside of the shadow of a second darkness. It's high time that the Obama administration takes a zero tolerance stance on such shadow-averting shenanigans. I formally request that the Obama administration moves for a bill to be introduced in Congress allowing for the forging of a Ring of Power, potent enough that its wielder could cover all the lands in a second darkness.
Not only would the forging of a Great Ring create jobs in the mining and manufacturing sectors, but it would also increase job creation in the defense industry, for the inevitable war that would follow when the free peoples mount a pitiful last defense.
Finally, if we fail to create a ring of power now, the Chinese will beat us to it and have a ring of their own
