Federal student loans support a corrupt education system that has turned higher education into a business. Often times, federal loans alone are not enough causing the students to obtain private loans to subsidize the cost to attend higher education institutions. Students incur tens of thousands of dollars in debt to which take years, if not decades to repay. Forgiving all federal student loans will drastically lessen the burden and hardships on the students and further increase the allure of higher education. In addition, it will free up hundreds of dollars each month, per student, giving them increase spending power to be funneled into economy. More spending means more jobs. It will not only improve our economic conditions but help create the jobs they so seek after college.
