Forgive all federally funded and guaranteed student loans, and allow our youth a fresh start in life.

I am speaking on behalf of myself and other parents of students who have been burdened by unmanageable student debt in this bad economy. I request that the government grant an amnesty or bailout of all student loan debt and that student debtors be allowed the option of either paying out the debt or providing some sort of community, or social service in lieu of paying the debt. It is unconscionable that our young people have to start their productive years paying off loans, many of which were too expensive too begin with. They won't be productive if they are burdened with crushing debt. This will be bad for America. Young people might not want to attend college if they are doomed to a life of serfdom. They are less able than banks to absorb this debt. Give them a break!
