FORGIVE ALL HURRICANE KATRINA RELATED DEBT BEING COLLECTED FROM THE VICTIMS BY FEMA AND THE DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY.

Created by T.E. on February 13, 2013

Some of the people of New Orleans and surrounding areas affected by Hurricane Katrina were misled and misinformed about the qualifications to receive financial assistance from FEMA. Some, including myself, were told by case workers that we were qualified and then after almost 8 years were told we weren't and have been asked to pay the money back with extremely large amounts of interest added to it. In my case the interest is around $2000. We needed help, and now we feel that we were duped into taking on a high interest loan.
