Public school teachers who have devoted ten or more years of their career to teaching students within impoverished school districts should have all student loan debt forgiven by the U.S. Government. These professionals have and continue to contribute in a major fashion to the development of American culture despite the challenges that they must face each day within the environment they have chosen to teach in. Public school teachers do not receive the credit that they deserve within American culture and especially those who have chosen to help impoverished children achieve their dreams. Even though the Obama Administration has recently made reforms to the Student Loan Forgiveness Program, it is not enough for public school teachers who have chosen to work in an challenging environment.
