Like so many other Americans, I am struggling to work my way through this recession that has lasted over four years. I have racked up over $60,000 in student loans, which translates to about $800 per month in payments. In an economy where unemployment is rising or staying steady, costs for basic needs are rising, and there appears to be no end in sight, I an petitioning President Obama to forgive all student loans, where a borrower can demonstrate that the payment of these loans is creating an economic hardship for them and/or their family.
