More and more people are suffering from stress and depression due to student loan debt. At 18 years old students are going to school and signing loan documents for outrageous amounts and interest which are not given a second look. Yet if these same students were to try and get a loan for a $15,000 car they will be denied. If they are not responsible enough for a $15,000 loan how can get be responsible for $60,000. So many people's lives are being ruined due to this debt with no way out. They were promised by the schools amazing jobs which never happened and not told how much debt they would be in when school was completed. I petition to allow for these loans to be disbursed through bankruptcy or forgiven all together. Also preemptively the students need to be educated on student loans.
