We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Forgive Military Bonus repayment

Created by M.C. on October 23, 2016

At this time, the Pentagon is requiring many soldiers of California to repay military bonus. One soldier is repaying 650 a month, a quarter of the families income. The national guard of California overpaid soldiers by offering reenlistment bonus, and many of these soldiers served multiple tours.

It is only time before the pentagon moves to other states, putting many of our soldiers at risk of becoming homeless. More than that, this is a sign of disrespect. We ask congress to intervene and offer forgiveness of this repayment, calling off the requirement to repay all together. The fault was that of the National Guard command staff, not the soldiers.

By signing this petition you are asking congress to intervene on behalf of soldiers everywhere to intervene and stop this repayment order.
