Forgive outstanding student loans, federal and private, and tax the forgiveness over a period of 10 years.

Created by F.M. on November 13, 2012

There currently exists over $1 Trillion dollars of outstanding student loan debt in the United States. Student loans can take between 10 and 25 years to pay back on a standard or extended repayment plan. Rather than have students suffer paying back thousands upon thousands in interest to banks that put this country into a financial crisis, forgive outstanding federal and private student loan debt while taxing the forgiveness over a period of 10 years. This will enable students to begin spending and buying homes in turn creating jobs and an influx of money into the economy that desperately needs it.
