Thousands of small businesses (mostly those in it's infancy stages) crumbled and withered away during the econimic slump the US endured. Some had been offered small business loans to get started. Now, many are poor, some homeless, and others working any job they can get just to put food on the table for thier families.
To have the US Treasury and the IRS hunting these unfortunate victims of our economic crises as if they were criminals and threatening to take anything and everything they own or might own in the future is like blaming them for the economy crash. Its just not fair. And with the 30+% interest and penalties, the government is assuring that the once inspiring business newcomers will never see the light of day.
Sadly, the IRS even threatens to take thier Soc Security.
