Forgive STUDENT LOAN balances for anyone who has made 10 years of income-contingent repayments - no strings attached.

Created by J.H. on April 15, 2014

The average college graduate has over $26,000 in educational debt and the United States holds about $1 trillion in student loans (which is significantly higher than credit card debt). Student loan debt has nearly TRIPLED in the past decade alone (2003-2013). In 20 years, tuition and fees have increased 100%, yet median household income has risen only 2.1%. Student loans are the ONLY form of debt that cannot be discharged in bankruptcy in normal circumstances.

I propose a law be introduced which allows student loan debt forgiveness to anyone who makes 10 years of continued payments that are calculated each year based on adjusted gross income, family size, and the total amount of your loan debt.

This will transform our economy for the better and help the middle class!
