forgive student loan debt.

Created by D.C. on January 03, 2016

Student loan debt is a crippling burden for many college graduates.

In today's global economy, a college degree is a requirement to get a good job; unfortunately, the cost of going to college has skyrocketed such that many can't afford to get the education required for that good job. Thankfully, it's easy to get a federally-guaranteed loan for paying for school so that good job can be attained.

Once school is finished, however, repayment of that loan starts. The cost of repayment often makes it impossible to put money into the economy (e.g., buying a car or a house). Forgive student loans and more than $1.2 trillion will go toward growing the economy.

Forgiving student loan debt is an investment that will yield huge dividends (e.g., economic growth and tax revenues). It's a win-win.
