I am requesting that the federal government forgive student loans for citizens in their entirety. I believe that this should be done for numerous reasons..most notably the governments forgiveness of foreign countries debts to the United States, the governments bailouts of multi billion dollar corporations, and taxpayer funded educations for prison inmates. A study has shown that the average college student owes $23,000. I know numerous people who owe $40,000 and above for 2 year degrees. Personally, I had to borrow from 3 agencies who now each want $300/month, this is something way beyond my capabilities to repay if I am to support a family. If the United States can forgive debts of foreign countries who had no ability to pay them back to start, they should be willing to for us too.
