Forgive student loan debt and give all Americans the same benefits as the children of our elected officials.

We the people petition President Obama to immediately order all relevant government agencies to forgive and dismiss all debt accumulated in the pursuit of higher education.This is a benefit already extended to the families of elected and appointed government officials and as we are a government of, by, and for the people there should not be one set of rules for our leaders and one set for everyone else. In this economy many cannot afford to pay student loans and buy necessities for life. Forgiving such debt would both prevent lifetime damage to the credit of those unable to meet the payment terms and free up money that could be used to improve the state of our economy through spending.
