Forgive student loan debt for qualifying veterans.

Created by S.M. on May 01, 2014

Forgiveness of Student Loan Forgiveness for qualifying veterans. Veterans must have served a minimum of 36 months on active duty or 18 months in a hostile zone and attaining retirement or an Honorable Discharge. While programs are in place to kick-start a veteran's education, this is just a fraction of the massive debt accrual faced while attending an institution of higher learning. There are plans in place to reward civic servants and teachers with debt forgiveness for a successful period of payments (120 payments) but no such program exists for veterans. Our service members have sacrificed, and continue to sacrifice far more than their fair share for this country. Please consider a forgiveness or subsidy to relieve veterans from overwhelming debt accrual.
