Forgive student loans in bankruptcy or for income below 130% of Federal poverty level or for old age.

Bankruptcy has given a fresh start to people in extreme economic hardship. Yet in spite of banks being given huge bailouts from their debts the student loan debts are disallowed from relief under current bankruptcy law. Similarly students and former students who have experienced extreme economic hardship and/or may be too old and living on a small fixed income are held in what amounts to indentured servitude to the banks/financial institutions involved in their loans. Another huge bubble in our economy, maybe upwards of 3 trillion dollars, is in economy hobbling student loan debt. Like the bank debt and housing bubble mortgage debt the student loan debt is holding our economy and middle class for ransom.
