Forgive Student Loans In Bankruptcy

Created by S.A. on February 14, 2015

Support H.R. 449 that will forgive Student Loan in Bankruptcy. Currently Private and Federal Student loans cannot be included in Bankruptcy. Citizens go through bankruptcy to rebuild their financial state start new and they really cannot because they are saddled with student loan debt. The debt affect individuals ability to obtain credit because it is considered in the debt/income ratio. In some cases the total debt represents the salary a person earns in a year or more. With the cost of living the way it is individuals cannot afford to pay10% a month as in the IBR. The IBR was based on gross income of the debtor and includes any spousal income this criteria should be revised it should only be based on the debtor's net salary after living expenses.
