forgo providing weapons, money, or military support to any person or group involved in Syria's ongoing civil war.

Created by J.P. on June 14, 2013

The United States of America has no business intervening in Syria's internal struggles. We are not the world policeman and can not solve the world's problem militarily. To involve ourselves with Syria's internal struggles opens the U.S.A. to charges of imperialism and will have consequences we can not know of now or in the future. The United States of America should not chose sides in a conflict that affects neither our immediate national security nor our long term interests. We petition the president and congress to refrain from financial and military involvement in Syria's internal affairs because all nations get to chose the type of government they allow, and the United States of America cannot dictate Syria's choice of government.
