Forks dont make people fat. Guns dont commit murder. If guns were used for protection we wouldnt have such a problem.

If I killed someone with a hammer, no one would say "WHO GAVE THAT WOMAN A HAMMER!? WE SHOULD OUTLAW THEM SO THIS CANT HAPPEN!" The tool is not the problem! The person is. The person could have been stopped had the tool been used correctly by trained people. It could be used to protect. Who will go in with a plan to shoot up a place where they know there are at least a couple armed and trained to defend against them! There is NO WAY to stop someone who breaks laws from getting guns. Especially not a law! The solution is to deter them by giving their victims a way to defend themselves! The only match for a gun is a gun. Less people would have died in the CT shooting had SOMEONE had a gun and used it for protection, but that's illegal. So we that obey the law, are sitting ducks.
