As we spend billions of dollars to protect air travelers, the US government should recruit, train and then deploy school marshals in every school in America to protect the staff and children from harm. This special agency would be different than local and federal law enforcement officials and be specially trained to be discreet and non-intrusive into the educational environment, thus protecting and allowing educational professionals to educated our children without fear of carrying a weapon. Leave it to the trained professional. Retired Military personnel would be the main recruitment goals, thus giving jobs to professionals who leave the service with jobs and a way to continue to help America.
