Klebold, Harris, Hui Cho, Roberts, Loughner, Holmes all were suffering from mental illness and all were prescribed some form of SSRI to treat their symptoms. SSRI's are responsible for thousands of acts of violence in the US each year yet their use for treating symptoms of depression continue to rise.
These drugs have many terrible side effects and even worse withdrawal symptoms known as "discontinuation syndrome". One of these very undesirable side effects could be violence leading to mass murder.
We need to know if these drugs play a role in the death of innocent Americans. We shouldn't wait for the deaths of 20 more children at the hands of a deranged man who may be suffering the effects of these mind-altering drugs before we investigate any role they may play in these tragedies.
