We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Form a commission of expert engineers to design and implement a secure, public-domain electronic voting system

Created by M.B. on November 05, 2016

It is highly problematic that our electronic ballots are cast on machines wholly owned by a private company, Diebold. This company has failed egregiously to secure this systems in the past, and the machines are widely regarded by experts as insecure. As the software source code and hardware schematics are not in the public domain, the people of the United States have no way to independently verify the trustworthiness of this most critical system.

We the undersigned would like to see our government create a truly secure system, funded with taxpayer dollars, and auditable by the general public. Our elections are far too vital to demand anything less.
