Form a Congressional committee to investigate the National Mediation Board for lack of neutrality and misuse of funds.

Created by K.S. on June 20, 2014

The National Mediation Board (NMB) stated in their budget request of $13.3M for fiscal year 2014 that they perform "..a key role in achieving the principal purpose of the Railway Labor Act of 1926/1934...to avoid
interruption in commerce or to the operation of any carrier engaged therein.." mediating between labor and Carriers.
In a December 2013 report, the Government Accountability Office observed that the NMB is "..not meeting...federal strategic planning and performance measurement requirements; missed deadlines for updating its strategic plan and lacks performance measures to assess its progress...".
It is our belief that the NMB is outdated and exists to serve it's longevity at the expense of the taxpayer and labor. The NMB no longer appears 'neutral' and hence, is no longer viable.
