This is a request for President Obama to formally acknowledge that there exists extreme gender discrimination towards the male sex.
A small outlook of this discrimination exists in the form of:
- Selective service requirements that apply only to males.
- Discrimination towards fathers in the matter of divorce proceedings.
- An education system catered to females at the expense of males.
- Discrimination towards male victims of domestic violence.
- The normalized practice of genital mutilation of male infants.
Once again, this petition is simply a request for formal acknowledgement of male discrimination. It was made in the hopes that by formally acknowledging these, and other, issues that affect males we will have taken the first step towards a more equal society.
