Formally and officially recognize the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1918, which was executed by the Young Turk Regime.

Created by S.S. on November 08, 2011

The Armenian Genocide was the deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War I. It was implemented through wholesale massacres and deportations, with the deportations consisting of forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees. The massacres were executed by the Yong Turk Regime. The total number of resulting Armenian deaths is generally held to have been between 1 million and 1.5 million.

Today, Turkey, the successor to the Young Turk Regime, denies the genocide In 2008, then-Senator Obama stated, "As president, I will recognize the Armenian Genocide." However, he has become silent, and now the injustice still stands. Obama must come from the silence and recognize the genocide.
