In light of the shootings in Newtown, CT and the various other similar events in recent years, it is time something is done to not only deter harmful activitiy on school property, but to meet it with swift, deadly force if necessary.
If each school in the US had a small staff of well-armed guards and a local police officer on duty, it would make these schools safer locations able to act quickly when students and faculty are threatened by violence. Since the law only restricts the rights of law-abiding people, we must meet the unlawful and prevent their acts, not simply talk about how to do so.
This National School Security Force would be a catalyst to employing thousands of Americans who would enjoy the job of protecting America's future.
