Formally call Affirmative Action as discriminatory towards Asian Americans and their educational goals.

Created by F.K. on December 29, 2012

Many educational institution use race as a positive factor for admitting certain groups. These policies, while good in the 1960s, are now used to control the admission of Asian-Americans into many programs. This creates stricter requirements for Asian-Americans for admittance to the best colleges in the country. Statistics, available through aamc.org, show clear discrimination against Asian-Americans by requiring them to perform better than their African-American and Native-American counterparts to be accepted to the same medical schools.

This type of discrimination prevents better candidates from obtaining degrees at many institutions where they are considered less competitive than students who have demonstrated a lesser ability to be successful in school.
