formally end diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia until they achieve a Western understanding of human rights.

Created by J.P. on October 15, 2015

In light of the case of Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, it is clear that Saudi Arabia does not believe in human rights that any Westerner would recognize. Saudi Arabia should have no place on the UN human rights council, but the United States can stand up for al-Nimr and his family by publicly shaming Saudi Arabia for their backwards and uncivilized penal code by formally ending diplomatic relations with the Kingdom until such time as they protect human rights as understood by all Western nations. We should also encourage other civilized nations to do the same, isolating Saudi Arabia from the civilized world until it chooses to join it.
